I mistakenly proofed instant dry yeast to make cinnamon rolls. I was worried since I didn't see any froth but however used it in the recipe. But the rolls came out amazing, fluffy and soft!!

Wow! I never realized there was a real difference! Thank you!! You presentaions are always so educational and informative! I really liked your recipie for using the leftover jam to make salad dresding, I made it for some dinner guests and they raved over it and begged for the recipie! (I gave you all the credit)! I think you will now get a few new followers!

thank you. i’ve asked what the difference was before and how much it needed to foam, and this has been the best explanation so far.

Thank you so much! I’ve been leery about making bread for this reason! Now I may give it a go! 😊

here in my country we have blocks of fresh yeast for 10 cents in the fridge section that you break into your warm wet ingredients, and i feel like thats the more traditional way here to do it. But many more do it with packets of dry yeast for convenience

I use instant yeast that I buy in bulk. Love it! So easy! Just remember to store it in the refrigerator.

You saved me tonight! I was baking and was about to add my Active dry yeast straight to the mixing bowl but then remembered this video!

Thank you. I think this is why my bread dough rises so fast and crazy, because I add the rapid to the water, rather than the dry ingredients. Mine rises so fast, it is ridiculous. Then it doesn’t bake properly. Ugh. 😩

Thank you for that useful information.
I’ve always wondered which is which and for what AND it’s interchangeable, the best part when I’m making bread…🤔

For anyone who hasn't delt with yeast before, it gives bread its smell. I'd ypu smell it before ypu put it into dough you'll understands

I wish I had looked this up prior to wasting 5 eggs, all that butter (!!!), flour, sugar, milk, vanilla, a pack of instant yeast etc!
I did what the (bleepi)ing YT lady said - to “bloom” the yeast prior to adding it to her recipe, but I have instant and didn’t know I _should not_ do that. Thx for making that CLEAR.
*We should NOT proof instant yeast!* it’s not _an option_ which many seem to say. Thank you. I hate dough + I’m done trying. Back to cakes.
