Women are attracted to competence, which correlates with intelligence. It can be a good predictor of social status and future income.
Men tend to want to lead, and aggressive/assertive women tends to correlate with intelligence, which is why you see women nerfing themselves.
Too much intelligence however, for both genders can hinder your ability to find a mate simply because you overthink and overanalyse everything.

Girls can definitely be attracted to intelligence but if you don't hit the threshold for physical attractiveness then it doesn't make a difference.

Some women genuinely enjoy being with a man that they can learn from or have substantial, meaningful, conversations with consistently. Intelligence is gonna be relative to the person you're with and its subject to if they see you as intelligent or not. As with literally every "what do women/men want" conversation, the answer is obviously gonna be, "it depends on the specific woman/man".

Most people find actually intelligent people less friendly because a lot of their positions will challenge their views and often people have some feeling of inferiority around them in my experience. Cognitive dissonance is really strong for everyone to more intelligent people are just less susceptible depending on what we consider intelligence. To me someone who is introspective, intellectually honest, capable of understanding different perspectives and is minimally hypocritical is someone who can be considered intelligent.

As a woman, my attraction to intelligence is needed because I love to have deep conversations. And, it is hard to be with someone who matches that because there can be more conflict, but if you value growth and have an open mind and can allow room to be wrong or to learn something new in some cases, an intelligent individual can be very valuable.

Im a decently intelligent woman nothing crazy IQ is bunk but 124. My partner is smart I would never consider someone who wasn't. I think he is probably a little smarter than me in a few areas, i have him beat in lots of practical thought and intuition. We are very capable of deep conversations and that is what made me fall for him. He was the first person who would actually talk with me about the shit i found interesting. Nobody else would let me rant about geopolitics for hours. I cant wait to marry this man.
