I wonder how well this movie will age. It was one of those “instant classics” immediately upon release, but the dialogue is a little too quick, clever, and dorky for its own good. I know exactly no people who talk like this. Yet, it has those wider universal moments that take it out of the 2007 teen indie scene.

This is a fine movie, well done, not my favorite. But I really kinda hate the music.. it fits, it works, I wouldn’t advise against it on an artistic level, but man, something about most of the songs just annoys me. Besides Cat Powers cover of Sea of Love.. that’s a great cover of a great song.
