Saw an interview with Bateman, he was talking about reading the script and asking the director "What exactly is this guy's agenda?!"

One of my favorite moments was when Vanessa thought that her husband had chased Juno away and then left her, so she would be without a baby or husband, but Juno leaves her the note that says “i’m still in if your still in” or something along those lines. That made me cry the first time because Vanessa really deserved that baby, and she even frames the note in the nursery. I thought it was so sweet.

During her first meeting with Mark and Vanessa they ask Juno if she's positive she wants to go through with the adoption process and then go on to explain that they had a previous mom reach out to them who then got "cold feet" and didn't go through with the adoption. I've always wondered if Mark was creepy towards her, too, and ended up driving her away.

And the way he says "you're so young, " when she reacts to his plan to leave Vanessa because they're not "in love anymore" no shit she's young!!

I was a teenager when the movie came out but I was still creeped out by his behaviour. Hated him!

I adore Jennifer Garner and when I recently rewatched Juno for the first time since 2007 when it came out I had forgotten everything that happened. When he told Juno he was leaving Vanessa my heart sank for her. But she still got to be a mom to the baby and I’m sure she did an amazing job at it. And yeah Jason Batsman’s character was a total weirdo. So inappropriate like what did he think was going to happen with that 16 year old girl?

The way Vanessa asks him what he did because she doesn’t trust him and knows he would do something. She didn’t need him as her child’s father

I remember Vanessa saying “that shirt looks stupid” and I thought ‘I have a shirt like that.’ I was 10 when I saw it. 10. It finally hit me.

Crazy what a complete 180 your mind can do in how you think when your 15 and when you’re 30

I never though Jason Bateman’s character was a ‘cool adult.’ It was creepy how he was trying to form a friendship, or what I assumed, with a teenager. I loved Jennifer Gardner’s character. She was truly there for Juno and was a stable adult.

I was either 18 or 19 when this movie came out and I thought Mark was weird. I couldn’t put my finger on but yeah my Spidey senses were tingling. Now being in my 30s, I now know exactly what was up. Glad to see others calling out the character Mark because in reality, people like Mark actually exists.

Never for the life of me thought he was super cool. In the beginning, he was cool. By the end, he was a creep. And if there were other teenagers, especially teenage girls, that didn't get this, I hope they lived life enough to know that he was absolutely inappropriate with Juno.

Yeah but how was anyone not on her side by the end of the movie? He literally ran out like a coward and she raised the baby alone.

I never took Mark as a predator or creep, On press tours the writer/Director said in interviews that when it came to the relationship between Mark and Juno they wanted to be careful to no portray it as a sexual flirtation but rather a flirtation with each other’s worlds. Mark and Vanessa aren’t good or bad people they’re just very different.
