Contrary to what others might think, I am glad Vanessa got divorced from Mark shortly before the movie ended. They didn't match in so many ways and it was so evident they would have many disagreements with how they raised the baby. But the moment she has her son in her arms and you see her later at home with the camera panning from her and then to the letter above the crib, you know Vanessa is going to rock at this. You know she'll be alright - you know she's got this.

2:34 The fact that Juno chose to make this a closed adoption but Vanessa still frames that note from Juno is just so touching to me. Even when legally Vanessa doesn’t have to ever mention her to the baby, she still does. Shows how genuinely she appreciates Juno for everything.

Idk if they planned it but the note to the adoptive mom was custard yellow. Just like the paint color she wanted on the baby’s room wall ❤️

I loved the moment her dad and her had. It was so sweet and pure when he stroked her head “one day you’ll be back on your own terms” just a supportive dad loving his daughter

Allison Janney killed me with that line. Every first-time mom knows that feeling. The first year of their lives, you literally just pray that you don’t do anything stupid to harm your baby. 😉

JK Simmons doesn’t ever get enough screen time in the movies he’s in. He steals every scene of the movies he is featured in and I feel if he was given enough time he could’ve gotten another Supporting Actor win or at least nomination for this film
