100% correct sir, im from kerala and im a Christian too, my ancestry belongs to saktheya upasakar. In my ancestry house, we call it tharavadu in malayalam there is a pallivalu ( khadgam/sward ) and badra vattakam ( anklet of goddess Bhadra). We are still keeping it as an antique piece of our family ancestry. Due to this we are blessed by some sort of energy, our business is in profitable way, no diseases to family members and we are always together within the family. All the confused people arguing in the comment section- Maturity is in realizing that although all the paths (Tamsik, Rajsik, Satvik) can lead you there but as human "being" we all can consciously make a choice. Satvik way of life is always considered a concious choice and doing what is required to be done at any particular moment. Therefore as of our times there is no need to make a Bali, unless a the diety herself asked you to do so. Shambho.

From generations we are vegetarian, but we ensure that Bali is carried out for specific Poojas.

And our Shashtras not only allow but ask for specific Balis for an anushthan to be successfully completed.

People whining about pashu bali need to know that the deity is goddess kali who holds a sword in one hand and a bowl of blood in another and wears a garland of severed human heads from which blood is dripping down, she has sharp fangs and she makes terrifying noises. she resides in cremation ground and has pretas/ghosts as her vahanas(vehicle) She is fierce and terrifying.
A devotee needs to worship the goddess the way she likes not the way you like.
Edit:- many people are commenting if goddess kali herself told me this, well this is what great *Sri adi Shankaracharya* *saw* and then described in his composition *Kalikashtakam* if you wanna question this you better be in a position higher than Sri Adi Shankaracharya himself.

Manu Smriti, Sloka 39, Chapter 5, says:
Svayambhu (the Self-existent) himself created animals for the sake of sacrifices; sacrifices
(have been instituted) for the good of this whole (world); hence the slaughtering (of beasts) for
sacrifices is not slaughtering (in the ordinary sense of the word).
Sloka 40 says:
Herbs, trees, cattle, birds, and (other) animals that have been destroyed for sacrifices, receive
(being reborn) higher existences.
Two instances where our shastras are clearly supporting the Bali Pratha . These shastras are not composed by ordinary human beings and hence we as ordinary individuals have no right to condemn a practice already approved by Shastras . Hence Bali is no way animal abuse .
