Great video! I’ve always been curious about the safety of traveling to Mexico, especially in 2025. It’s good to hear that Puerto Vallarta is relatively safe, but I agree, it’s always important to stay cautious and informed. Thanks for sharing your insights and tips! Definitely planning to visit soon, but I'll be sure to follow your advice on staying safe. 🌍👍

We’ve been to PV many times and just bought a condo last year. The local people are so lovely ❤️ We feel very safe there

Every city has good and bad sides of town. You don't want to be in the bad side of any city. Have to do research and understand where not to go.

I’ve traveled to many countries, some that people are horrified when I tell them. Especially because I’m female. Most people are good, welcoming and helpful no matter where you go and are happy that you bothered to visit. Yes do your research and more importantly research the local culture and laws and respect it. If you can accept that places are different you will have a good time. Dress appropriately, even adapt local attire they won’t be offended, if anything you will make them happy. Don’t flash around money, phones and accessories just carry what you need and that’s all. Learn some local words especially thank you. Don’t eat street food in most places, as delicious as it looks or you will regret it.

I’ve stayed at the Marival many times, Vallarta’s square is great (kinda where the ships dock) market food n trinkets, but they also had trks full of armed (AK-47’s ) police all over. The coastline towns no electric so peaceful. Downtown at night a little sketch but it’s been yrs now. It’s now a big retirement spot w/all the condos built next door to Marival. I’d love to live there. Rent a jeep go up the mountain areas all the roadside food is epic fresh oysters. Yum Stay safe ✌️

I moved back to the U.S. a year ago, after living in Mazatlan for three years. I never felt unsafe. Your chances of being the victim of a crime in Mazatlan are the same as in Las Vegas. If you're not afraid of visiting Las Vegas, check out Mazatlan, or PV or Cabo.

After living here in Mexico my opinion is that Puerto Vallarta is way too touristy and is also extremely high priced as a result and very hot and humid.

It's just like anywhere in the Estados Unidos. There are good cities, and there are bad cities. There are good neighborhoods, and there are bad neighborhoods. Mexico is far too often demonized as a completely violent country. If you go looking for that kinda trouble you're certainly going to find it in the bigger cities.

As a single female I would NEVER walk around like you are doing...especially at night. You have to remember that each person has their own experience and is going to attract different things. Your chances of being sexually harrassed/assaulted by a man are about zero. Women live in a different reality.
