1:22 hola. Been following your Reno’s. We are doing one not far from your place. We chose Merida over the Lake Chapala are to buy in. Chapala had better temps and is much more scenic and tons of expats. But cartel activity is not far in Jalisco and Michoacán.

Mexico had received over 45 million international arrivals, and rank as the 7th most visited country in the world in 2024. The US is in no position to say any because 17 countries already issued a traveling warning for US in 2025, and I'm American.🤦‍♂️

Lol, I lived in Kansas City for 15 years. The crime hasn't got any better. I now live in Florida and will be full time in Merida in 3 more months. And when someone says " is it I jokingly say ... absolutely not, you shouldn't go there, haha. The info is out there, the ppl need to just learn to research on their own instead of listening to the media. Cheers!!

It may be safe if you stay on the privileged bubble people from the US created by displacing locals and inflating the cost of living trough the roof with the digital nomad and expat bs. As a local no it is not safe its a beautiful yet unsafe land.
