(Note: OTAs can be hard to work with for flight changes/cancelations)

There’s a lot of cheap flight myths floating around the interwebs. Today I run some tests to see if they’re true or BS. If you want to know how to find cheap flights in today’s day and age, this one’s for you.

Two issues I am having with google flights lately. First, the lowest price fares are from third party companies that are not trustworthy or have a bad reputation. The flights published are not flights listed on the airlines website. They seem to be botched together legs. Finally, (three things I guess) the prices change when you actually go to book.

Most of what this man says are correct exept for Business Class early bookings, it's often the opposite, they are often wery cheap wery early to check if there is demand for it, so they want to fill up some of the seats early to enshure themselves that they don't loose money on that route. The other thing he forgot was VPN, for two reasons:

1. Point of sale: An air ticket may be cheaper when booket in one country than another.
2. Some coutries pay no VAT on an airline booking, while in Norway it's 8 percent, so i can take those 8 percent by booking from a no VAT destination.
3. Currency of booking, i have seen about 8 percent difference on witch currency i pay in, so check that.

These three trixs combind can put a ticket prize down 15 percent, an ond a Business Class Ticket where i save 250 USD, that a win, but you need to tweak around with the IP from other coutries, so play around a bit with this :)

In Brazil, weekends are cheaper. The airlines make promotions starting Friday night. This is because business travelers are willing to pay more than tourist travelers. So, flights are more expensive during weekdays, when business people are booking their flights.

This is the reality in Brazil, I'm not saying airlines in other countries do it.

Tuesdays are the cheapest. Its not close to the weekend, it's also not the start of the week. It's just a random day in the week that isn't ideal in and of itself. Most people would want to arrive on their destination on friday, weekend, or a monday.

I’m not into budget airlines, I don’t like getting nickelled and dimed at every turn and if you have any luggage, they aren’t worth it.

I recently needed to get to Newark to Pittsburgh, with one carry on and one tiny carry on appropriate suitcase. By the time everything was said and done, United was cheaper than the budget carriers.

I want to give a shout out for commuter airlines though! In my experience they are affordable, fast and friendly!

In India, there very poor scenario of buying round trip after covid-19, air ticket charges surged by 60% and also I found in most cases round trip are costly because you are bound to return dates and with already coupled airlines.

Try clearing your computer "cache" and tracking between searches.

00:17 quite wrong. It depends on companies though, but it's always worth comparing. AFKLM flights in Europe are typically like: if you fly one-way, it costs +/- as much as flying back and forth. Which is quite ridiculous. On the other hand, Wizz, Ryanair, etc. do sell legs independently. If you don't mind the bad conditions and that everything costs extra (soon even having a seat and using the toilets?)

Agree about the day of the week. Tuesdays are not always the cheapest. You just have to check every day. Case in point, I just checked for a ticket, and Monday was cheaper than Tuesday.

Pack light look budget airlines and go to the airport. I booked Spirit ticket from FLL to DTW for $39.50 round trip.

On one flight they had a comical choice between meatloaf and mashed potatoes with other good stuff, or some kind of vegetarian pasta with "vegetable medley."
Well of course almost everyone chose the meatloaf so they ran out of that about halfway through the plane and wound up serving the pasta to a lot of people who had ordered meatloaf. Not a happy crowd.

Well I was the person that they ran out on. The first one to get the pasta and veggies who had ordered meatloaf, but because I was very polite about it although I was clearly disappointed, the air hostess, when she found one extra meatloaf dinner that had been overlooked in the warmer (after everyone had been served, ) she brought it to me! So I had two meals, which was good because I was really hungry on that flight.

To their credit, no one else complained when I got extra, although there had been plenty of complaints when they received their pasta. But there were a few jealous looks...

Many airlines are not charging for the Return on a Round Trip Ticket. What part of Round Trip do they not understand. Also I have run into one part of the flight being fine, but the return flight often has a 32 minute layover on an international flight, which is of course impossible. And Aeromexico used to charge $60 a check in bag Round Trip. That is now $160 each way ($320 round trip) more than your seat cost.

one stupid question maybe... what happens when you find these skiplagging flights with your check-in luggage? OK it's fine, sneaky get out and finish your trip earlier, but what with baggs? or works only with hand luggage? thanks

I scheduled 7 months ahead to do from Dallas to Rome American 🇺🇸 flagship round trip with insurance for 7 tickets 33, 000 I think it was cheap cause prices went up as I watch it .

I will never go back to coach and those seats 🤮
