She never says she’s bringing liquid through security. She says she bring the cups to fill with water. You can take empty cups through security and fill once you’re in and that can go on the plane. My family of 5 does this ALWAYS. We also take food as well. I bring sandwiches. I bring chips. I bring granola. Never had an issue. There no tsa rule against food.

In the US any solid food (frozen burritos, fruit/veg, etc.) are fine coming through security. If it is spreadable or pourable (peanut butter, salsa, guac, yogurt, etc.), it has to abide by the liquid restrictions.

My godmother has been a flight attendant since she was 21. She's almost 70 now and still only works international flights 😜🌹

Frozen burritos doubling as ice packs 😯 So creative, love it!

No produce allowed through TSA in Hawaii. Dried fruit is okay, just not fresh. It is a bummer because fresh fruit and veg make the best travel snacks.

We take food on the plane all the time on domestic flights. W pack them in a small cooler pack similar to hers. We take our yeti bottles and when we pass through security we get either ice tea or fill them with water. We take mandarin orange already sectioned in baggies, mini belle cheese, protein bars. We have even gotten sandwiches like subway or breakfast sandwiches. Never a problem. Just be respectful and don’t bring anything on the plane like tuna salad or any smelly food. And no nuts. Sometimes we only have enough time to use the restroom and freshen up when changing planes and no time for food. You can get really hungry when you are flying 6 hrs and longer.

Please don't use frozen burritos as ice packs and then refreeze them...Especially if they contain meat, that stuff is gonna be spoiled!

So I am guessing you aren't taking these on a flight

Don't refreeze anything frozen that has been defrosted even slightly expecially with meat in it.

You need to check regulations before carrying food on any flight.

Some of these tips are bad in terms of food poisoning concerns. Unless your flight is really short doing some of these will result in you getting food poisoning

Why do you worry about taking so much food? My carry on usually has extra clothes, bathing suit, etc in case airline loses my luggage. You can get food anywhere but if they lose your clothes or makeup, it's pricey to have to replace them.

My tip is use packing cubes for clothes, and write on them with permanent marker tops / pants / underwear. You will never rummage through your suitcase again!

Packing food is fine if you're not travelling internationally and staying withing the United States, but if you're flying outside your own country you can do this. The same for liquids.
