Marcella LeBeau, a revered elder, recently passed, of the Cheyenne River Sioux nation. Served in the Battle of the Bulge in WWII. Stood up at age 100 to confront US presidential candidates with the history of the Wounded Knee Massacre, to ask them if they would rescind the Congressional Medals of Honor issued to the soldiers who perpetrated it. The Pentagon is reviewing those medals now, with input from the Department of the Interior.
