The most moving scene of the entire show. Let's be honest, we all wanted to give Bucky a good hug, he deserves it.

Credit to Wakanda honestly. They coulda just spared Bucky and left him be after it was revealed that Zemo was the one who deleted T'Chaka but they went the extra mile to give him therapy too.

We all know Bucky wished Stark was alive for him to apologize to him once again

This scene almost made me cry. He was grieving over the things he had no control of. Instead of going Winter Soldier, the code just reminded him of all the sins he wishes he could undo and he deserved much better

This scene gave me major goosebumps. Winter Soldier and Civil War are by far two of my favorite MCU films so this was a huge pay off for me as a fan.

This may be dumb but when I saw this scene it really hit me how much pain and suffering he went through

The Winter Soldier is finally free from all of the HYDRA enslavement

Sebastian Stan should've been nominated for an Emmy just for this scene alone... he's an outstanding actor!

After 70 years of brainwashing, forced murder and torture, he's finally free. Imagine how that must feel. He wasn't only crying because he was relieved, he was grieving all the years he has lost and all the pain he has inflicted without wanting to. He's finally letting go, and this is very powerful. I love Bucky, he is one of the most resilient characters I know.

I love how Ayo was relieved and proud that he was finally, it looked like she even wanted to cry with him.

But she easily composed her emotions

0:23 When he said "It's not gonna work", I felt that. It let me see how scared Bucky actually was when she was reciting the code

Those tears... they represent so much. Grief for who he was before Hydra came along. Pain at the thought of what he did. Pride at what he had overcome. But mostly, an overwhelming sense of joy and gratefulness. Because he’s finally free. He’s not “The Winter Soldier” or “Sargent Barnes” anymore. He’s Bucky, and he can do whatever he wants. He has free will and no one else controls him, and it’s such a powerful realization that it physically brings him to shaking tears as he realizes that his past no longer holds any more power over him than that of common PTSD.

The whole Bucky arc is why Civil War, Winter Soldier, and Falcon and Winter Soldier are some of the best work Marvel has done!
