As a Afghan Vet, this brings tears. I didn’t have this or family for me when I got back to the states, but I’m glad these soldiers had someone to salute them as a welcome home.

I'm not an American but this made me cry as well. It always makes me cry regardless of what country they belong to, because they all have family members waiting for them to return home safely. To the fallen and living heroes and heroines, thank you for your service, Sir/Ma'am. 🙏🏾🥲

I remember the welcome I received when i landed in Dallas in 2005. Awesome doesn’t describe the feeling so i can only imagine how it felt that day

My stepdad was stationed in fort Carson prior to his 4th tour and final deployment to Afghanistan in 2012… He never made it home from that.
His name was SSG David Nowaczyk.

War’s a terrible thing. Never forget that freedom isn’t free. Rest in peace Dave

That was one of the most considerate acts of respect that I've seen to date. To all of the soldiers, "Thank You" for serving our country.❤👍😊

That is very special to have someone there for when you return home from a deployment. Had my family waiting pierside in Norfolk March 9, 1983. It's over 40 years and i remember it like it was yesterday. They too will always remember.

It’s a good feeling when you have that small moment of recognition and realization that you are home.
