Perfect Pushup This is a great visual example of the cue we often give when teaching pushups. We direct you to twist your hands into the ground in order to create tension and optimal scapular positioning. Little gadgets like this aren’t necessary but can sometimes be helpful to achieve a particular feeling or movement.

When setting up for a pushup or plank, spread your fingers wide and press them into the ground, evenly distributing weight. Torque the arms as we show in the video. You do not need these silly devices. Even thinking about applying an outward rotation with the hand can be enough to create some nice tension. You could also play around on carpet using some paper plates⚪️ under your hands to feel the rotation more.

Think about rotating those armpits forward. It’s a scooping motion with the armpit. If you are able to crank out a large number of pushups apply this torquing motion along with proper shoulder blade position and a full range of motion and you will be shocked at how much more difficult they become. Focus on the quality, not the quantity‼️

The second video is pretty silly. Just THINK about how you are moving throughout your day. All the same things we teach apply to almost every motion you do in life. Thanks @NatalieJillFit for letting us play with your stuff!

A word of advice to younger guys out there. WORKOUT!!!! A good body will give you inumerable advantages in life. Both in dating, work, social life. Everything. I learned this too late at age 30 and am in a rush to improve my body lifting weights 4 hours every 2 days. Follow my advice. And you will not be hurt and treated like trash like I had been for years.
