Abstract Algebra 34: We should we care about permutation groups?

Abstract: We explain why you should care about permutation groups. One big reason is that every finite group is isomorphic to some group of permutations. Therefore, any finite group can be cast in the language of permutation groups! In other words, if you understand permutation groups very well, then in some sense you can understand any finite group. We show how to model the symmetries of the square as a permutation group.

I noticed a mistake in this video --- when I write down the permutation associated with the rotation R_270 by 270 degrees, I should have written (1432) instead of (14321). I apologize for this typo!
