U can find a shackle for him that let's u bind him in his first phase twice.
It can be found right at the bottom of the subterranean shunning grounds below Lyndell

Guide is certainly stretching it here. A guide would tell you the attacks of the boss, the phases, what to do on each, the fact that his attacks cause blood loss and also drop fire on the ground. You could have mentioned the shackle you can use on phase 1, or perhaps the wonderous physick you should use to aviod the damage on his special attack.
But ok, lets focus on the mimic, moonveil spam. If you want to go that route, equip yourself with a shield and the Shabriri's Woe talisman, this way the mimic will keep the attention of the boss the whole time, after you summon the mimic change Shabriri's Woe and remove your shield, proceed your spam as usual.

You're supposed to use the Purifying Crystal Tear in your Flask of Wondrous Physick. Yes you can heal through it but that's not the intended mechanic.

This is a poor guide, more of a blog on your experience fighting this boss. It doesn’t tell you anything meaningful about the boss. Wastes half the video talking about the mimic, and it It doesn’t break down each attack. It’s far too vague when it does get into specifics. In an effort to be quick it just was lacking in content.

So everyone is complaining about his strategy so here is a strategy I beat mohg with:

Step 1: get a wepon with a lot of poise damage (for me it was executioners great axe)

Step 2: get the wild strikes AoW and put it on your wepon with blood loss efinity

Step 3: Get mohgs shackle
