Elon Musk said he had ‘no choice’ but to slash staff numbers at Twitter, because the company is losing more than $4m (£3.5m) a day.

Half of the social media site’s staff are being let go, a week after the Tesla boss bought the company.

An internal email sent on Friday said the mass job cuts were "unfortunately necessary to ensure the company's success moving forward".

Mr Musk has been looking for ways to cut costs and make more money on the platform, such as proposing verified users pay $8 (£7) per month to keep their blue tick.

If you got rid of Twitter, FB, Insta and TikTok the world would definitely be a better place.

Bro half their workers had a 2-year holiday. The other half did the entire work. Same with Alphabet/Meta. Much less with Amazon/Microsoft/Netflix/etc. Alphabet especially, there are tons of people just collecting 20k+ a month while traveling the world doing nothing.

Elon didn't buy Twitter out of his personal wish/decision; he finally bought it when he had no options to quit after entering into the deal; he entered into that Twitter deal in the first place to make more names for himself with his egoism, so it backfired because he couldnt legally pull out; so what do you expect from him other than fighting with twitter users, firing twitter workers, abuses, twitting and re-twitting unfounded claims, and extortion ..It's high time decent people began to quit that his Twitter

Imagine being a HR manager at Twitter after informing 100 staff that they are laid off and then receiving an email from the HR director that you've been laid off as well.

Times have changed and now crypto market is all about pump and dump leaving retailers as bag holders. Bag holders turned to long term investors will still bag hold and bitcoin might go to zero. There is too much news, too many analysts, too many factors, too many firms, insiders influencing it's price. Retailer money is being sucked. I've made $550k combined net this year and paid no Federal taxes. Thanks to George Stewart's trading services.

On this planet, 30 to 60 days on the payroll is called advance warning, and with pay. Getting them out of the offices is to prevent system sabotage.
