You can tell Jamie was feeling nostalgic over someone asking him for his word and seriously taking it at face value.

I love how when Brienne says she’ll have to fight with Blackfish, Jamie brushes it off, but when she says to fight you there’s the subtle shift on Jamie’s face from a smirk to sadness, it’s so cool

"Girls like her don't live very long." He's thinking about Myrcella...

"It's yours...it will always be yours..." Hmmm... I don't think we're talking about the sword in that moment. :3

This is the best relationship on the show. More a deep respect that grew into genuine affection from one knight to another than a passionate attraction. Jaime broke my heart when he left her for his sister lol

When you consider how Brienne treated Jaime at the beginning, her taking his word is such a subtle and genuinely touching moment, that I think is entirely under-appreciated.
Compare it to how the Blackfish treats with Jaime, telling him to his face that as an oathbreaker, his word counts for nothing. Brienne is willing to trust Jaime not only with her own life, but with the lives of hundreds, if not thousands of men as well.

I also like to imagine that when Jaime tells Brienne to keep the sword, the unspoken words "Be the knight I couldn't be" are floating in the air.

A shame how they did my lad and my gal dirty in the last seasons of GoT.

Yup, Jaimie is for the first time in his life, truly in love and not just in awe of her. The feelings he had for his sister were always toxic and swallowed him whole. He has grown now, and I think his feelings for Brienne are of the most honest kind.

From "the wench" to "my lady Brienne".

I love Brienne's line about Sansa, "I don't think you know many girls like her."

Personally, I think Brienne does love Jamie; not passionately, but honestly. I don't know if Jamie loves Brienne, but he highly respects her and she is one of the very few people that he genuinely cares about (enough to endanger his own life to save hers).
They both have affection for each other, that much is undeniable.
And when Jamie says, "It's yours. It will always be yours.", I get the feeling that he's talking about more than just a sword.
I love these two, and I continue to hope that we'll see more of them together in the future.

The simplistic beauty between these two is they generally learn to respect and honor each other's principles. Despite the growing affection between the two, they follow their own personal code of honor and yet they don't expect either one of each other to be more than what they are. I'm glad they managed to have one tender moment between them before the end of the series. Yet they were never meant to be more than just that.

Jammie admires Brienne because she is the pure knight he would have liked to be.

Jamie deserved Brienne, and Brienne deserved the respect she got from Jamie.

Brienne was what Jaime wanted to be so he gave her all of his best parts - sword, armour, knighthood.

nikolaj coster waldau always makes jaime look at brienne with big intensity and i like to think he’s mesmerized by her eyes. In the books jaime mentions brienne’s astonishing eyes a lot and it’s not shown in the show

i wish they showed jaimes dream with brienne and lightbringer too

I don't get why people are all over Jaime for threatening to fling the Tully's over the wall. He did exactly as Brienne asked for; taking Riverrun without bloodshed.

Oathkeeper is perhaps the last and only bond between the Lannisters and the North

Jaime and Brienne have a... _complicated_ relationship in the series. On the one hand they're much more obviously sweet on each other than they are in the books, where any sexual tension between them tends to be stuck on "belligerent"- Jaime is almost incapable of keeping himself from insulting her off-handedly (he calls her "wench" by default, although it does increasingly become an affectionate nickname and he once bitchslaps another man for referring to her as such), she's much more uptight and they don't have the obvious moments of affection (longing looks, the big deal made over Oathkeeper etc). On the other hand, Jaime in the series is still devoted to Cersei, while by this time in the books he's pretty much given up on her after finding out how she cheated on him. Brienne's story in the books is COMPLETELY different from the series (the biggest difference being that she never even gets _close_ to finding Sansa, who doesn't go back to the North in the books) so the two really are hard to compare by this stage.

A goshdang shame we never got to see these two get their happy ending, due to the show unfortunately getting canceled before the final season...
