This scene was tragic enough to have me look up the song playing, "Kingslayer" (track 9 of the GoT season 3 soundtrack, ) it plays during S3E5 when Jaime confesses the painful truth/breaks in the bathtub and again in S3E10 when he comes back to Cersei and she's staring at his stump and he's ashamed. And now it's playing again as Brienne as he's waving goodbye to her. I don't know what it means, but since the damn song only plays when Jaime's making deep self discoveries of the heart and during emotional moments, yep. I'm on this damn ship.

I remember when I watched this scene for first time I felt like this is the last time they will be seeing each other - on top of that it has this Jaime's theme playing in the background....it was very heartbreaking to see!

In Season 7 & 8 I am glad that they finally met, confessed their feelings, parted away, he went back to his true love and Brienne fulfilled his Kingsguard wish


It was an emotional yet fitting closure to their arc 🙌


No matter what he did for Brienne his true love and yearning was always his sister - Cersei...let's accept that and appreciate the closure that was given to Brienne and Jaime's relationship...
A love story that never was. 🌟
