We are often asked how we use different Microsoft apps in our work, so we've put together a series to show you. This is the third episode of the series, and we're going to show you how we use Microsoft Planner at Collaboration Coach.

Hey Matt. I love this concept of "How we use..." It's great to see real life implementations. In this particular video I will proudly copy the way you use planner. I like very much the idea of having a single planner for almost all, instead of partitioned and disperse plans. Thanks for sharing.

Can you create a comparison video between Microsoft Planner vs Asana?

Problem I see with Planner is that what they call tasks contains then checklists. So it’s not really a task anymore, it’s more of a project with a series of task.

Hello, wondering if there is a way to automate due dates. For example, if I set this up for an event I have now, and then I need to duplicate it and setup for the same event happening in december, is there a way where I can just set the event date and all tasks due dates are automatically set?

Hi, thanks for the vid. I'm looking for a To Do solution where I can delegate tasks to other staff too & keep track of everything. I'm not sure whether to go for To Do, Planner or Lists. What do you suggest?

Hi Matt, would you be willing to share the power automate flow you referred to in this video?

This video series is really helpful. What licence do you use, if you don’t mind me asking?

Where does lists come into your workflow? I watched your previous lists video but looks like you'll have to duplicate information, create the video in lists with a date, then double it up in planner and SharePoint?

Hello Matt, I hope you can help me. I have two Microsoft 365 packages. One is offered by my employer and the other I subscribed to my self. I use planner daily just for my own tasking and to do list no one ells in the company uses it. I started using planner before I had my own 365 package. Is there a way how I can transfer my current planner account tasks to my personal 365 account without losing any of the history and current & future tasks?

If you assign a person to an individual task in a bucket, they can't see any of the other tasks, correct?

Great video...but GOD, Planner is such an incomplete tool.

1. You cannot have built-in recurring tasks (I know it's on their roadmap, and that you can pull off a Power Automate, however my clients aren't tech savvy enough to use Power Automate).
2. You cannot assign different people to different checkboxes
3. There's no color-blind friendless mode for label (I'm blue-purple, red-green deficient)
4. You cannot attachment multiple files in one upload.
