STIHL FS-111R VS. ECHO SRM 3020 Comparison [I Expected More]

Показать описание
In this comparison Video I go over 2 of the preferred trimmers on the market. The ECHO SRM-3020 (30.5cc) and the Stihl FS 111R (31.4cc). Both of these units are very good and honestly its probably gonna come down to dealer support, comfort and features. Let me know in the comments below which do you prefer?

I’ve got all echo trimmers on my trailer - 1 SRM225, 2 2620’s and a 3020. My business partner that runs our other crew has all Stihl stuff. We’ve asked our employees and most prefer the Echo and they all say the 3020 is an absolute monster for ditches and overgrown properties. I’ve seen them pretty much race each other to grab it. We also run Darwin grips on all the trimmers and they make a ton of difference.

3020t is way to powerful for every day use, I prefer 2620/2620t for every day use on my business. 3020t is kept and ready when there's a big/tall law. I'm an echo guy and have always used echo.

Both seem like great trimmers even though I love echo. Thanks for the honest review Danny

Yeah I just bought echo trimmers last year. Haven't tried them yet. Out of season here in St.Louis. My stihl trimmers I have to pull more then my 2016 Redmax bcz260ts. I own 4 Stihl trimmers fs80, broke. Fs110r runs great burns alot of gas. 2015 Fs130 runs, 2014 Fs250 run sometimes. All of them got maybe 200hrs. My Redmax bcz260ts maybe 280hrs all I can say it runs great. My 2019 Echo hand held blower is what made me try them when my trimmers out of warranty. Runs great

I came close to getting an echo. Had full intentions, but I used my father n laws stehl FS-111 with the handlebars and I knew right there and then I wanted one. I don’t regret getting mine.

I have a FS110 from the first year they came out and it seems better than the new Stihl in the video. I have all Echo equipment for my lawn service and today you solved my questions about the new ones. Looks like an upgrade in the very near future. Great video!

Running Echo SRM 2200 30yrs old still going, was commercial use now residential. Stihl FS 90 carb shot no parts, had to retro fit, wall hangar.

FS 111 With bike handle badger head with .155 line on 2 1/8 acres some green some tough dry land grass. Cuts sunflowers and Jgrass over my head. Have only made adjustments and changed filters, greased bearing. Have heard neighbors remark about what I can cut down with it. Still running strong

I have both brands, like them both but the Stihl is my favorite.

Thanks for the video! I ended up replacing my FS 90 R with the 3020 T. Great product! I also noticed the metal clutch housing rather than plastic on these. Really looking forward to not having to deal with four mix and the valve adjustment!

Wow do you really get 2 year warranty on the Stihl ??? That's weird.... the dealers in South Miami FL are only giving 90 day warranty on the Stihl, a lot of landscapers are switching to echo because the Stihl weedeaters are coming out with problems straight out the show room. In South Miami the grass grows year around so these landscapers put tons of wear and tear into these machines. Stihl was king like 5 years ago, but now with this new model it's just been a big headache and the carb flooding issues and even bogging down. Landscapers take the guard off and run the string long and have no problem with the Echo, in contrast the Stihl's clutch spring would break often when running the string longer the supposed to. Echo > Stihl

Great comparison bro. I adjust my own stihl valves takes 15mins

Stihl all day every day, twice a day, 6 times on Sunday.
Built better, longer lifespan, easier to find parts, and unless you mistreat it or leave it outside for extended periods, will start right up and last a lifetime.
Plus stihls resale value is great compared to echo

I run echo everything and once the trimmers are broke in you can tune the carb and make them run even better. My tuned pas 2620 will out perform my 3020. I've never heard a trimmer sound this good.
