Copilot+ is designed to let you go back in time on your computer by searching for snapshots taken by recall of your pc activity.

I'm already testing Linux because of this. Been testing with Linux Mint and I have to say the deeper I dive into it the more I like it.

Not only does Recall record your passwords, it records your online banking details like your account numbers, how much in your accounts and pin numbers. It will also record your medical records and other sensitive information. The hackers will have a field day.

This has to be unlawful.

There is no way I'm buying a Windows machine again.

One thing that increasingly irritates me about technology companies is the fact that they spend half their time finding problems that no one has ever had, and the other half of their time finding ways to solve these problems, which didn't exist before.
Meanwhile, they are increasingly invading our privacy, while at the same time making billions of profits from it...

Brian, here's something I just found (4:22 PM Montreal time). Gpedit - Administrative Templates - Windows Components, then scroll down to Store: "Turn off the offer to update to the latest version of Windows", then click enable. It states, "If you enable this setting, the store application will not offer updates to the latest version of Windows". This is on Windows 11 Pro, version 22H2.

It's stored locally, until Microsoft decide they'll use it to train an algorithm, or a government agency decides it wants to see what you've been doing
