On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

While I completely get (and mostly agree with) GS's description of why to drop flares just to be in good practice, there were several times in this video I didn't see the Hornet in the ground-clutter until he starting tossing flares and giving a "dotted line" right to him. They may be a good defensive tool, but they're also a tattle-tale.

I don't know if it's because I grew up in the 80's, but that F-14 is the most beautiful plane ever made.

The designers of the YF-17, Hornet, Super Hornet airframe seemed to have made it specifically for the one circle fight. Instaneous turns, and snap gun shots are its strengths. The Tomcat was designed for the sustained 2 circle fight. All a product of the times they were designed. Tomcat was a product of lessons learned from Vietnam. The YF-17 design coincided with the all aspect IR missile. Aircaft evolution is awesome!

Day 1 of asking for F-22 vs flying toilet.

Why does the F14 always look like it’s shaking apart like a 1990 geo metro? Honest question.

We gotta start these tomcat videos with carrier take off lol With that said I was actually wanting a video like this today ! Super Hornet vs Tomcat thanks Man !!

Can't imagine not having both of these planes. The Hornet for when you're craving the stability and forgiveness of a modern aircraft, and a Tomcat for when you want raw power and speed with the handling of a warbird. And all those carrier ops.

I love how the F-14 shutters and shakes.

Ya know, I've been subbed for... a while now. One thing that amazes me is just how overwhelmingly positive, supportive, funny, and hopeful your comment section is. I often recognize people making comments.
You're doing something WAY right bro.

i could never get on board with the hornet b/c the tomcat to me was just so much more beautiful. i used to go to the library and draw the tomcat with pen and pencil. initially, i would put the paper over the pic of the tomcat in the book and trace it out. eventually i could just draw it, more or less from memory. i guess it's an emotional thing for me.

With the start of that title, I thought it was gonna be a BVR fight where you do that cost of missile analysis for phoenix vs AMRAAM ha

Tomcat may have been replaced by the Super Hornet but it still has a ferocious bite.

That was some great flying on both sides.

If I see an F14 in the thumbnail, I click it. It amazes me how well you're able to fly that aircraft....you have some serious talent man.🤘🤘🤘

Honestly man, that night lighting looks really good. Definitely gives the dogfights that duel in the desert type of energy. Good fights.

Funny I was in a heated argument with a buddy just a couple weeks ago on this topic. He agreed to the innate sexy-ness of the F-14 (Followed closely by the F-15 of course) but argued that it could not compete. My argument was that if the same R&D that went into the Eagle, her contemporary, had also gone into the Tomcat then she would quite possibly be the best there ever was. And I NEED some of your fabulous cat merch.
