These are good advices to apply to anything really as an guy working in the IT field too many times do i see important shit linked to emails that are linked to unsecured sites, That is one of the most common attacks points for companies/valuable accounts. Remember people if you are relying on your emails being secure do not link it to anything else other than the thing that it is securing since all it takes is one database leak for it to be potentially vulnerable.

great video, really helpful. the bad thing is one doesn't learn these stuff before getting scammed or get really into skins. i got scammed for around 400 USD and then i started to look up to these things. thankfully, after I got scammed I got rewarded with an M9 Sapphire from the Lord Gaben

Here is something that happened to me 2 years ago: I created steam so I can play Team Fortress 2. In the beginning I had no items so *probably* I searched on the web about free tf2 items, got into some sites login via Steam but got to nowhere. That was in 2015. In 2020 I woke up just to see that all my semi-expensive TF2 items were all traded away to some Russian bots. Later me and a friend investigated and found out that I had given away a key that can bypass the Steam mobile authenticator and move on with the trade. So please, for the love of god, all of you please check your settings and if you have given access key to your account - remove it immediately, it will save you later on. Don't fall for my mistake. Even the most secure Steam account can fall the way my did, simply because the owner missed a small little spot. I've lost roughly 200$ in TF2 items (which may not sound like a lot, but as a 12-17 year old, not as wealthy Bulgarian kid, that worked with what is equivalent of 8$ per week - that seemed and still seems like a lot of money to me).

One thing you should invest in is a Google titan key, if they can't get into your Google account, they can't get into your steam account (a titan key is a physical password that you plug into your device to access your email account)

I just to be clear on something. He said that sim swapping is one of the most common ways of hacking a account. So I’m just wondering, if somebody gets my sim or gets into my Apple ID account, do they get access to all my apps including the steam guard. And are they allowed to enter the steam app without having to enter a usernam and password? This would be good to know

Thanks for the little knowledge !!! I thought I had a properly secured account, but I didn't know what family mode would do. I have been oversensitive about security from the moment I tried to sell the knife to skinbaron ... I got made up there like a child by some Russian hacker :(

Thinking of getting in a routine to change my main pass’s 2/3 times a year now. Everywhere you look someone’s getting hacked, and I don’t want that stress. Do be careful to watch for iPhones automatically uninstalling the app if your storage is close to full. May be the earlier phones that have that setting, but I’ve heard of people getting locked out of their accounts due to the app just being uninstalled because they didn’t open it for a while

the api scam where u confirm a good trade on ur computer, but when u authenticate it its actually going to someone else, that type of scam is scary bro. That got me a couple years back for my whole inventory (when i was trying to cash out) and i never found out what it was till i got back into csgo and my api was still compromised and they tried to do it again. Hopefully people will learn about this before they fall into the trap like i did. Always be careful when signing in to steam on ur browser. If u go to sign into a new csgo website, and u want to sign in via steam and it says "u r not signed into steam, but u can sign in here" and u think/know u should already be signed into steam on ur browser, be VERY careful. Its probably a fake website that is showing u a fake steam sign in so they can steal ur account info

Yeah this is utterly fucking stupid change by steam. I remember when my account got hacked in 2016 summer when i was a little and dumb. Then i did get my items back from steam support but i remember they warning me that this is the "last" time you will get items back be careful etc. Nowadays valve has lowered standards alot with communicating with their own community its so weird.
