Sand blasting wood looks nice until you get up close and realize how very irregular the surface is. Wood grain becomes 3D and paint, stain or coatings would show every stroke of the sandblaster.

Sandblasting is something that's really impressive for restoring projects

What tool was used to blast the paint off like this? I need to go to Lowe's and get one ASAP .

Dam love the door great job little light stain brand new varnish door

The paint was post 1985 which means no lead. The media used was environmentally friendly and it only needed about a 15 min sanding to smooth the wood. This process saved the customer a weeks worth of stripping.
