The M1 MacBook Air is absolutely insane. 80% of users would be completely fine with an M1 MacBook Air. I bought the 8/8 16GB RAM version and it's an absolute beast.

I bought an air, when they first came out, it was meant to be a secondary device, six weeks later I sold my primary PC because I just wasn’t using it. Yesterday, I was watching a video, in a zoom meeting, and running a few background tasks, and I was still only using 30% of my CPU. It’s nuts

I bought the M1 Air back in August. It is, by far, the best computer I ever owned. It was the first laptop I ever bought with my own money, and I'm proud of that because of how good it is. Also, bit of advice, it's better to buy the M1 Air from Apple's certified refurbished store. You can get the M1 Air for $849, $50 less than buying it from Amazon. "Certified refurbished" from Apple is basically brand new. I got my MacBook Air from the Apple certified refurbished store and I have no problems with it at all. Also, there are more configurations available in certified refurbished and they're all discounted as well.

I bought a 14" and don't regret it but there is still something super appealing about the air to me. Always has been. It will be hard for apple to beat the feel and design of it in a compelling timeless way.

honestly, the current macbook air is my favorite design. Considering this is the only machine with this design and M1, it is the best laptop for quiet a while to come.

I'm so happy with my MacBook Air, I got the basic model and it's insanely powerful, I can do a 1000 thing at once and it never lagged, I'm a regular user and I'm goin to use it for my first year in med school on 2022, the portability is a huge factor for me and I don't regret it at all. Also, I love the rose gold LOL

Best decision I've ever made getting my MBA 16GB/1TB back in Feb. All my work programs either run virtually or use MS Office and this thing runs much better than the State issued Dells my colleagues use. Omg, my productivity is through the roof, and at home!!!

I am a full stack developer (using docker) and also do 3d art in blender and I currently use the macbook air 8/8 8gb RAM. No issues at all and super smooth for everything.

First of all it was a temporary decision.. now i am sticking with it! Super happy!

Bought MBA M1 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD refurbished. Downgrade the Monterey to Big Sur and it is INSANELY FAST compared to my 2015 MBP 8GB RAM + 128GB SSD. Glad i bought it and looking forward to use it at least 3-4 years. Love your videos MAX TECH!

After 6 long months of debating whether to purchase M1 or wait for the M2, after 6 months of trying to find the best deal of used/new M1, speculating and being frustrated I've finally went to the Apple Store and bought a new MacBook Air M1 8GB right after watching this video. I'm so happy and so relieved now. Thanks Max, your advices were the last nail in the coffin.

The M1 Air is probably the best all-purpose laptop ever made.. Its breadth of ability is astounding. All encased in a very elegant design. The design needs an evolution, not.a revolution as the new design we keep seeing looks cheap. I'm still hoping that these renders are of a new lower end 'Macbook for the masses' not a replacement for the Air which has that very comfortable wedge design..

I'm a music producer, I can recommend M1 Air to anyone, It's really capable machine.I don't use it as my main, but I worked on it with quite big projects with apps still running under Rosetta 2....1 word, BEAST.

I think you're spot on with all your thoughts. The only thing I would add is, if you need a new computer, buy the M1 Air right now. If you really want the M2 in a year, you'll have a computer worth a good bit to trade in toward it.
