Jordan Peterson reflects on his 'give ’em hell' tweet to Israel's PM

Psychologist and public intellectual Dr Jordan Peterson discussed whether he regrets his tweet to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on October 7 telling him to "give 'em hell'.

“Twitter is a very complicated social media platform and it's been difficult for me to learn how to use it wisely,” Mr Peterson told Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan.

“Now what I’m trying to learn is when a tweet is appropriate and when a long-form commentary is appropriate.

“The rule I think is something like the higher the stakes the more likely a long-form commentary is necessary.”

“So do I regret it? It would have been better … to have done the long-form to begin with.”

I don't think it was impulsive at all, no body should be that quick to make that kind of statement "Give 'em hell". I think he already picked a side long before October 7th.

When someone shows you who they truly are “ believe them”

I respected him for years. Particularly after watching him refuse to comment on Islam saying “I simply don’t know much”. I liked his humility. I resisted canceling him after he started throwing temper tantrums but this was the final straw. Damn you and your accords.

Mr.Petersen has lost every credibility. Does he claim to be a Christian? He teaches Christianity?
Does he know the concept of repentance?

What an absolute cop out, absolutely pathetic even for jordan peterson to blame “a difficult platform” on the words HE chose.

He literally blamed Twitter for allowing him to express his true nature!
COWARD.

I am a Irish Christian by birth but still finding my feet in my beliefs, This one sentance has consequences; I have lost all respect for Mr Peterson. He reacted with hate not with empathy, not with love, not with forgiveness, not with kindness. We’ve been fooled.

He had a lot of us fooled. Being intelligent doesn't automatically mean being human. He has no soul if he can't appreciate the torment and suffering of those poor people.

He’s lost all respect. This vile man will never have our forgiveness. We will never forget and the people will be the ones giving him hell

I lost all my respect for Jordan Peterson once he announced he ✌🏼joined forces ✌🏼 AKA hired by Daily Liar. I grew up Christian in a Palestinian family. When I heard a message to Muslims, I was shocked at the amount of lack of understanding and knowledge of the culture. Then, bringing Netanyahu to his podcast and visited the Aqsa mosque with Shapiro under IDF protection. Jordan Peterson, at some point, was a man of courage, and now he is a man with a lot to lose, and the bias is tremendously evident. Give them hell? My friends are dead in Gaza. Young people with dreams, hopes, and plans. Educated and has families. We even used to share your videos at some point, Jordan Peterson, as you had good content and good values that many looked up to. You have blessed a genocide. You have no shame. My friends are killed, and their families are missing. SHAME ON YOU and all that you spoke about the atrocities of the Nazis and the gulags, turning a blind eye to Gaza. What a disgrace.

How complicated is the statement "give them hell"???

If you want "expert" comments on the Israel Hamas war why not turn to those who have specialised knowledge and experience in foreign affairs and particularly practical experience in the region?. Peterson is a psychologist not a war correspondent In fact, he has virtually no significant journalistic experience whatsoever

Wow... There goes my respect for this man.

I admire this gentleman’s mind, however, a simple apology would do it instead of blaming most of it on twitter.
