What I didn't understand when I was younger is consciousness. When I was younger I imagined there'd be phases of how I viewed the world, shifts in consciousness. No. I'm still 9 yrs old me, I'm still 18, I'm still 30. Consciousness is constant and relentless even as time marches on. You don't become a different person. Maybe to other people, you may seem to, but from yr own pov...time marches on, our bodies age, but we are always and forever in our own heads
