I watched the In Laws on a flight from the UK to USA and my life was not the same after seeing that movie. Those guys together were just brilliant, I saw other peop0le gasping for air they were laughing so hard, I put it up there with The Party with Peter Sellers, another crazy, unheard of movie that was a heap of fun.

Saw the In Laws in the theater as a kid. It made me laugh the whole way through, one of my favorites as a youth. Even though it was more adult themed, it was easy for my 9 or 10 year old brain to understand and see the humor.

Andrew Bergman wrote The Freshman for Marlon Brando because Brando adored The In-Laws and wanted to do something similar. Bergman also wrote the first Fletch, for instance.

I just watched the chicken sandwich clip. Interestingly, Falk briefly grabs Arkins hand just before he goes into the ad-lib. Perhaps signifying he's going to do the chicken sandwich ad-lib now.
