Having learned of Mr Arkin's passing today, I figured I would share this clip with the wide world of YouTube as it is a longtime favourite of mine, and surely others will enjoy it too.

Alan Arkin has a reputation for being a good natured sweetheart, funny and endearing. But I first became aware of him in 1968 when he played one of the most terrifying villains in film history, Harry Roate Jr. in WAIT UNTIL DARK. It still scares me.
