Atheism is like this. Someone asks you "what's your favorite football team?" to which the atheist responds "I don't watch football."

Atheist church ha ha ha I love it. It's funny but you are right people know what you mean. For example motorcycle clubs often refer to their weekly meet as "church" and I've even heard people use it to say they're going to the pub (bar) or even the toilet.

I could go on, but those are good examples. As I like to say, Christianity and the like are Religions because they both believe in a God, and base those beliefs off of purely faith, while Atheism is a Philosophy because it bases its beliefs off of known facts and logic.

Why would you laugh when you hear that question... it's an honest question to learn more about religion and science. Just because you have a better understanding of it than someone else does not make them stupid or dumb. Be humble.

But a big problem stems from the fact that atheism isn't clearly defined or it has multiple definitions depending on the source. "Atheism is the rejection of belief in the existence of deities, " or "Atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities, " or "Atheism is the absence of belief that any deities exist."

If atheism is a religion then Christians have one more religion than me. If I'm religious for not believing in yahweh then you're religious by not believing in Allah and so on

Religion is defined as the belief in a higher supernatural power atheism can be defined be defined possibly as an anti-religion.

There are self regulating rules on YT that auto-mark comments as spam for numberous reasons, including duplicate threads, deleted and repeated threads and too much copy and paste replies to a previous post. I have seen this happen to me instantaneously where suddenly all my posts get marked as spam within seconds (from trying to correct spelling errors).

He has had massive success doing what he does. He raises awareness of science and about atheism and challenges religious beliefs. While not everything he does is ideal, he is a nice man and does what he thinks is important.

There is no right or wrong answer. It depends on your definition of religion.
Some people think that to be a religion they must worship a higher power, whereas some believe that any belief system is classified as a religion. There is no right or wrong.

But to put it simply, to consider Buddhism as a religion, you have to also consider atheism as a religion too.

Of course, that depends on how you define worship. The word has multiple definitions. It can mean respect and admiration as well as religious devotion.

Atheism is legally a protective status granted by the US Supreme Court, it is legally considered a religion since you can’t establish if there is or isn’t a G-d

An atheist church or whatever term would be used to describe that sounds amazing. How would I go about searching for that in my area? I grew up Christian and as far back as I can remember even as a child I never bought into it, although I didn't fully come to that realization until I was 12 or 13. But I remember loving hanging out with my youth group, just having fun with other kids. There's a great community to a church, it just makes me sad it revolves around something I have zero belief in
