She finally died this year (2023) and the house was demolished. It’s shocking that she was a teacher when she seemed so hateful to her kids. I pray they find peace.

Wilma is a narcissist. You can't negotiate with people like that. Wilma will just have to face the consequences of demolition.

Dr. Tolin did a great job with this family. As soon as he realized he wasn't going to be able to help Wilma, he started trying to help the kids instead. Hearing her openly say that they were disappointments to her might've been what they needed to allow themselves to finally consider walking away from her once and for all.

"Can you show me a little bit of respect" She says to the same daughter she just called a disappointment the day before. What a horrible woman. She doesn't deserve her children, and her children deserve way, way better then her.

The kids need to get into counseling and move on with their lives while there's still life to live. Have a ceremonial funeral for their "mother" and stop punishing themselves.

I'm sorry, but the mom saying, "I gave up my life to raise them...." that's what a good parent does! You chose to have those kids. You SHOULD sacrifice your wants to raise them....Man, I have no sympathy for this hoarder. She deserves to lose her home. Despite her best efforts, her children turned out pretty darn good. I give them lots of credit for enduring what must have been a tumultuous childhood.

As a mother, I could never say such hurtful things to my children. I just want to give these 3 people a gigantic hug. To me, not only did Wilma have a severe hoarding problem, she is one devoid of love and compassion.

Her selfishness even destroyed the one place she knew her children had wonderful memories of, their grandma's home. What a horrible woman.

Her children though seem like good people, only God knows how they turned out that way.
I wish the kids all the best, as for their 'mother', I hope she gets what she deserves for talking and thinking about them the way she did.

What a hateful woman, just awful. Her children are amazing though, they were still there. They took every bit of poison she fed them, and didn't walk away. I hope they were offered therapy since it's clear she's never going to seek after care herself
