Darcy is a freaking QUEEN and I have massive respect for her sticking up for everybody.

As soon as someone raises their voice the mother wants respect. They raise their voices because she doesn't listen. I feel so much for the daughters.

I’m sorry but if you haven’t acted like a mother to them in years PLEASE do not use the “you need to respect your mother” card. If she acted like one she’d get the respect of one.

She hurt her family so deeply. Her girls are in so much pain all these years later. And her husband's last dying wish was to help her. Her family lives and cares so deeply---- but she just wants her trash.

I hurt for Darcy. She knows her mother chose her hoard over her family and it destroyed her. She is angry and at her age, if she is still so affected by this, I cannot imagine what her childhood must have been like.

I applaud the daughter that told her mother exactly what she thought; This woman will continue to hoard for the rest of her life.

Darcy’s speech to her mom, my God, that was powerful, hope her and Beverly are doing ok today 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I can see this woman living on the street, pushing a shopping cart full of junk she pulled out of a dumpster. She will never give up her hoard.

Darcy's statement about how her losing her dad was losing her only parent sums up the damage to her relationship with her mother. As hard as it may have been for Darcy to make that statement, she has come to terms with the reality of it.

My former daughter inlaw grew up with hoarding and she too became a hoarder. My son couldn't cope with it and tried over & over to help her minimize or safely store her 'precious things'. It got to the point that there was a tiny goat track from the kitchen to the lounge to the bedrooms, at times having to hold onto the wall to step over. Then a baby came into the mix. My son rang me one day, they'd had a fight about more stuff she brought into the house, so he threw it all into the garbage bin, she took off. He said "Even the playpen is full, it's not safe for the baby. Can you come pick up the baby, so I can clear some stuff while she's gone". My former daughter inlaw didn't like people come to her house, I was so shocked at the state of things, but seeing my 13mth old granddaughter in a tiny corner of her playpen while stuff was piled up over other stuff inside the playpen was a serious concern. I took my granddaughter home so my son and daughter inlaw's friends could sort out the house and an intervention. Ex dil only attended 1 therapy session and within 3 months the house back as it was. My son took his daughter and left for good. She later remarried had 2 more kids, but when one of the children was injured when a pile of stuff came crashing down, the children were removed to foster care. The case worker warned that if she couldn't get the hoarding under control, she wouldn't get her kids back, she just protested that it was her stuff and that she should be able to do whatever she wanted, what about her needs. It's been 3 years, still hasn't got her kids back. Some people can't be helped.

22 years of pent up pain finally came out. I don't blame Darcey for leaving. Both those daughters always deserved better.

Some people are just content in their misery. After you've done all you can sometimes you just have to walk away. You cannot set yourself on fire to keep others warm.

You do not demand respect, you earn it!

The pain in these daughters stories is just devastating. It's one of the saddest episodes I've seen and gosh, my heart goes out to them. And I think they're right. They haven't solved this problem at all...

I hope both daughters keep their stance of not helping her anymore. A child's job is to find themselves and what they want in life, not give respect to a hag who loves trash but not them. Darcy is so well spoken even while emotional.

I'm mad at the dead father for pinning his contrived last wish on his poor daughter. She should have just ignored it and gone on with her life.

One of my favorite episodes. Darcy's speech gives me goosebumps every time. Her mother needed to hear that. It's always interesting to hear the hoarders say that they collect items. Never understood why they keep actual trash/garbage. Very intriguing disease.

I loved when the daughters laid into her but it hurt watching them hurt especially Darcy. (She actually said something that helped me!) She had the burden of her father's last wish and it wasn't a burden but her mom made it one and it was on father's day 🤦🏾‍♀️. I love when people say "a child should" while speaking to adults.

Family problems so deep cannot be solved in an episode. Dorothy will die among her trash or in a shelter, which ever comes first.

I felt for Beverly the most. She was level headed and consistent, and it’s sad that she realised she was going to have to walk away.
