Somehow whenever I feel down in life, I return to the old JP videos.

The purpose of life is to be the best version of yourself and reach your full potential no matter what your circumstances are.

I am so delusional regarding the death of my younger brother that i try to convince myself that my family are God-like beings or saints and the world is going to decend into chaos and we are going to ressurect my brother and be established as the rightful leaders of the world. My mom claims my brother was cremated but i convince myself she is hiding that he is secretly preserved, awaiting the resurrection. I apparently can in no way handle and accept tragedy. Alongside my brother i also lost who i believe to be my soulmate, and the greatest opportunity in my life to build significant wealth that would have let my buy a home and start a better life. It wasn't just one tragedy, is was multiple things including losing my hopes and dreams. How can i accept and move on if i dont feel like there is a life for me anymore because everything that made me who i was becoming was torn away from me?

This would be way better if it was dumbed down for teenagers because teenagers are really at the point in their life for this would make the most difference.

Life is what you make of it. You want it to be tragic, have it your way just make the turn when you realise it. That moment is the perfect time.

Your purpose in life is to serve God and give him glory

Life is tragic in that nature is Absurd, man has been slighted. Morality however has no place in metaphysics, nor indeed in the mind of the strong being.

Peterson talking about responsibility and truth is moving but not quite as moving as people who have walked his talk. I look at the horrible journey North Korean defectors have gone through to get where they are. They are walking his talk. Am I walking his talk? I do know my conscience forced me to give up being a Muslim despite the cost that brought to my familial relationship although I am no Ayaan Hirsi Ali. If the cost of my apostasy was more existential, perhaps I wouldn't have carried my cross, I don't know. I do know it's common sense to live a meaningful life if you're lucky enough for life not to be fully rigged against you. Not that I am comparing myself to Peterson but I think both of us had our crosses relatively light,  compared to someone like Solzhenitzn.

About .01% of life is tragic - just don't focus so much on those rare events!
