Genshin Impact introduced a new weapon banner pity system in the latest 2.0 update. Mihoyo claims to be listening to the players and hopes to fix the pity system with this new system called Epitomized Path. Is it really better? In short, yes. But it is still not good enough. Essentially, you still need to spend way more to get a guaranteed 5 star weapon of your choice as compared to the character banner.

To be honest MiHoYo has ridiculously high prices for Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact gacchas. I am certain that if they made their prices 10 times less they would actually make more money as more people would buy and as nowadays gaccha games have full exposure and legality even in European Union, something that was a no no 10 years ago here.

They should add this system to 4 star characters too.
Throughout 1.1 all I wanted was Xinyan, but got none with over 40 wishes.
And now, Sayu, with over 50 wishes, I got Mona, 3 Xinyan and 3 Diona. While everything I wanted was Sayu.

in the latest banner(crane echoing) i thought epitomized path system works like if u choose this weapon u get other weapon first then ur own weapon choice since i got thousand floating dreams twice so my plan is in next banner i choose other than char banner weapon to get his weapon

This only works for people going for refinement ranks. since pity won't carry over theirs no point in stopping once you e gotten 1 fate point. So might as well keep going

Honestly, this helps a little but weapon banner is defo catered for whales. Unless you have super amazing luck to get 5* weapons early 🤷🏻‍♀️🤪
