I have been investigating for 15 years and thumb rule is equity will give more returns then Fixed deposits in long term. That's the history, research it and stays away from fixed deposits

You multiple FD in same bank less than 5 lac, for multiple times it will still have valid insurance

Heard in a comment only 2L is worth as during withdrawal in odd times there is a limit of 2L.
