Super informative, easy to understand and best of all, STRAIGHT to the POINT! A lot of us have 40+ hr/wk jobs and do home projects on evenings & weekends, which means very little spare time, so discovering a YouTuber who is able to cover several critical points quickly and eloquently is an incredible gift! Thank you!

New subscriber here. Just bought my first mitre saw for jobs around the house (age 62). These tips were very helpful and I’ll feel more confident making my first cut today with my new machine.

I am totally clueless with DIY and power tools. I have just bought my first mitre saw, and this video has given me a great head start on how to actually use it. It's straight and to the point. Thank you!

Fantastic. As someone who’s about to buy their first mitre saw, this is gold. You may have saved me from hurting myself, you’ve definitely saved me from making scrap wood.
Also, style of video is fantastic, straight to the point, no messing

thank you! I'm new to the hobby and got my first miter saw. I respect the awesome power, but haven't been around power tools like this before. So i'm a little nervous. But i figure as long as i keep my fingers away from the blade, should be good.

Thank you very much for all the tips. I work with table saws but a mitre saw is new to me and these tips help a lot.

Excellent! Great tip at 4:30 relief cut on stop block so saw dust does not affect the cut accuracy. 7:30 great tip on shaving so can sneak up on the perfect cut.

I've seen a lot of these videos . They seem to have one thing in common, the saw is stationed too high up. You never want the bed of the saw to be higher than your bellybutton. Reason is, your looking over the work piece instead of at it. This gives your face the most protection from anything flying out of that saw. Also, you have better wrist control on the work piece, being able to push the piece down onto the bed, instead of holding against the back stops with just your fingertips. This is just safety talk, stuff I've learned the hard way over 30 years,

I just found your YouTube channel. Thank you for a great video. I just received a new miter saw, so your videos are very useful. One tip to add to your Safety pointers -- Seriously consider wearing a high-quality dust mask while sawing, as breathing the very fine wood dust in the air can be very bad for your lungs, especially if you do a lot of saw work. Years of using your saw without wearing a dust mask can add up to extremely serious permanent health issues.
