Please continue this series! It’s fun to watch how west coast costcos make east coast look like there’s no Asian people living here lol.

Trader Joe’s packaging suggests that you pan fry them after you microwave them and I think it has a huge effect on how good it is! I’d suggest doing that next time if you can. It makes it crispy and crunchy

I love the in depth review. Most short form food reviews are just “it’s good👍”, but the detail about soggy radish but otherwise good rice and sturdy filling really helped to paint a picture

I honestly wouldve been scared to try frozen kimbab. I love kimbab but only when freshly made. Nice to know they figured out the science to preserve it lmao

As someone who lived in Korea for 6 years, I barely EVER had it warm. Also, the seaweed looks more like nori as opposed to 김. Was it toasted? Was the rice mushy when reheated?

Making me stoked on getting back to my fave costco in socal. RIght in the middle of viet/korea town and they always got the best asian selection.

For those wondering about the math; I stopped at several intervals. The kimbap was 18.79USD. There were six in the pack. 18.79÷6=3.13ish per sleeve.
Trader Joe's online indicates it's sleeve of kimbap is 3.99USD.

Gimbap is easy to make. Makes for easy meal preps too.

I’ve never had warm gimbap. That might put me off. My favorite is when you have a whole uncut roll and take it to the park and can just eat it like a banana out of your hand. The best.
