I’m black, and I grew up in Chinatown. Anytime I went over to my best fiends house who was Vietnamese, we would eat white rice, fried egg and Taiwanese sausage with ginger garlic oil. One of my fav meals 20 years later

That three ingredient combination is one of my favorites and has become a comfort food to me. Adding a bit of green onion on top adds so much too

For those who were still wondering. It's very similar to chorizo but with different seasoning and less aging.

Thank you for showing me the way of the Chinese sausage. I eat them almost everyday for lunch now.

Lap Cheong sausage, diced, makes a delicious addition to egg fried rice.

I'm Filipino, I kinda like these a bit more than local longganisa. These days longganisa makers don't make them the same as they used to. The once you have tend to have milder taste and that's enjoyable for me

My grandma was Chinese and she'd regularly make this for me. We'd have it with fresh boiled duck eggs from the backyard and a quick cucumber and onion salad, good stuff.

Thank you for explaining your cooking method. I bought these at our local Asian market and didn't care for them at all but I also think that I didn't cook them correctly either. I want to give them another try after watching your video.

I love these. A Dominican-Chinese uncle introduced my family to this and a sweet mung bean paste. So good. 😊

I'm in the Philippines and I just opened our fridge earlier and it's literally there, stashed by my mom since she uses it in pancit. Lol

From the Philippines, One of my absolute fave packed lunches in high school. Dad fried it up with a sweet soy garlic sauce and packed over rice. Cold sure but twas a filling fatty comfort meal.
