Hate that im an esthetician and that in my school they told us essential oils, expensive products, and excessive amount of steps in a routine was good for the skin. Dr dray u really taught me a lot, i was spending stupid amounts of money in skincare that was not bringing me any benefits. Thanks for all the vids!

With all the noise in marketing, we need someone like Dr Dray to save or skin and our wallets 😭❣️

Dr Dray's videos are the best. Why? Because we basically get a consultation with a board certified dermatologist every day...for free!

Coming from a girl that was previously following all of the fads & influencer skincare routines - I can’t wait to share all of my knowledge with my future kids struggling with teenage skin. I just hope Dr.Dray is still around YouTube to back me up by then 😅

oooo im glad to be using a lot of them already. from my experience the simpler my skincare got, the better my skin got! minimalism truly works!!

My mother is 83 years old and has such beautiful skin that women ask her all the time what products she used. Her answer, Jergens body lotion..the old school kind.

I love this video! As an Esthetician, we CONSTANTLY get told “medical grade” skin care is better. Clients do come in for the luxury of it, but it’s honestly no different.

It's true...less is more (but let's face it, we love to play with new products out of boredom)

The lip sunscreen to be used around the eyes is a great tip. 💛

I always feel guilty for using a moisturizer after shaving my beard because i don't want to spend my money to buy an aftershave cream lol. I've never even tried to search for a good aftershave product. Turns out, i wasn't wrong this whole time lol.

1.27 million subs?! That must’ve jumped up fast! Congrats Dr Dray, it’s awesome to know that so many people are listening to a dermatologist, and hopefully using sunscreen daily! 🧴☀️ I was here when you were around 20k. You deserve a big audience and I’m so happy for you! Have a wonderful day ☺️✨

I'm really happy with the suggestion to use Vanicream lip balm on the eyes. I could not put anything on my eyelids with them feeling irritated and tearing all day. They don't complain at all with the Vanicream and my eyes are moisturized as well. Thank you!

When I worked at a beauty supply shop I never cared much for Dermalogica and surprisingly neither did aestheticians/dermatologists who would come in. Their biggest gripe with it (Other than the ridiculous cost) was that a lot of their products contain essential oil, plant extracts or fragrances and that it just isn't what it used to be back when it was first founded. Interesting to hear that straight from aesthetician and dermatologists and what a relief that good, reliable skin care is often much easier and cheaper for all of us 💙

One thing I’ve changed is spraying my clothes with parfum/aftershave, instead of the actual skin.

Same same, but different

As a certified wound care clinician, I don't think petrolatum is the best first line defense in minor skin abrasions/lacerations. The first sequence in wound healing is hemostasis. This is needed to stop the wound from bleeding and allow the wound to proceed through the next 3 phases of healing. If petrolatum is applied before hemostasis is achieved, this can slow down the healing process even in minor skin injuries. After hemostasis is complete, petrolatum can certainly help protect the skin. Additionally, people tend to double dip into their petrolatum containers which can lead to introducing bacteria into even the smallest of cuts.

Glad to know that I wasn't crazy for using my nivea body lotion on my face

I tried using body lotion on my face when I had contact dermatitis. Cerave, Eucerin, Vaseline, etc. The rich lotions worked well to clear up irritation, but it caused cystic acne. I only used the lotions on my face for maybe two weeks, but I was dealing with cysts and closed comedones for at least 3 months afterwards. I will never try it again.

I am 44 years and I would never ditch my vitamin c serum. I suffer from hyperpigmentation, sunspots ect . I have tried every vitamin c serum out there and wasn’t until I tried the OBAGI vitamin c serum that I saw results. I use the 20% and Apply only in morning. I follow up with a peptide cream and my sunscreen as usual. It’s faded my hyperpigmentation and and even reduced fine lines. Wish it wasn’t so expensive, but a little goes a long way. I keep it in its box in a dark cupboard, but I will say I have got 10 months out of one bottle.

My mother, father, and grandparents had skin cancer. One had to have her eyelid surgery, her eyeball removed, then, what was left, sewn shut. 😵 I loved hearing your suggestion at 2:52. Also, I appreciated, in another video, your reminder about additional steps for protecting against too much sun exposure: wearing hats, sunglasses, etc. 🥰
