1. With the help from a commenter, (bodstrup) a work around for not being able to transmit on your prefered channel when the other zone is active has been solved (but not perfect)
2. I have ordered a 90 degree adaptor for the external speaker so it doesn't stick out so far

Day Two UPDATE - the Radioddity DB25-D Mini Radio....
The software is the worst software I have ever used
The most important issue with the radio (in my mind) has been partially resolved.
An external speaker is now useable....
BUT, as stated in my first video there are many issues with the radio that need to be resolved so Radioddity if your listening I believe the radio could be saved....

Hi friend, a question: if I wanted to put an external GPS antenna, the typical ones with the cable, do you need an active or passive GPS antenna? thanks and 73

What if you reversed them and put your citywide on the bottom monitor. Does that eliminate the issue?

Did you check to see if RTSystems has programming software for the radio

Does it have sync setting if it does turn on sync the radioddity gm-30 has sync to disable dual band and D.wait does the same thing

What is the GPS antenna used for? Have anything to do with synchronizing signals for DMR?

I agree. I bought this radio a few days ago and it’s a pig to program! If the Mike is plugged in it won’t upload to my computer. I’m having issues with low sound. My UV5R is getting better audio reports on the same Ariel.

I agree with you on the software. It is now Aug. 2022, and they have not improved on the software. They should make the software open-source, other developers can improve this much better than they can. The radio is decent for its price, with the features that it provides, but the user interface and the accompanying software can be, and needs to be vastly improved.

I have had no issues with the software. But you can use other software as well. This little radio does a great Job for the money. Sure there are better options but for a person on a budget, I see nothing wrong with it.

The channel turning knob should be on the right side as the mic cable is always getting in the way...
The external speaker plug is not standard so you have to by a step down plug adaptor.
The external speaker jack should be on the back of the radio, not the side.
The more I use this radio I see that it is a bad design.

I was looking at your video pertaining to the DB25-D. My question is where did you get the speaker adaptor to use with an external speaker since the hole is small. What is the name of the product and can I purchase it on Amazon

Non dmr db-25 lost it output months later on resonant antenna these same copy cats need RF modules seperate vhf and uhf RFO sections once MOSFET pops no support for parts on a led free PCB

Hi, You're blowing a tremendous amount of air into your mic, try speaking into it at a 45 Degree angle, so your breath passes the mic without hitting it, sounds like there's a battle going on in the background. :)

Wow. So worked up over the cheapest radio you could find. Dial back your expectations a little OR invest in a >$250 mobile unit.
