Music: Philip Ayers - Rebirth of a Fallen Angel

Fitness is the first & most important/crucial step in self-improvement because it gives men a sense of cultivative, purposeful & meaningful direction

"It was precisely because of my GOALS that I never felt the temptation to do anything that would detract from my ability to achieve them. Had it not been for my love of lifting and the GOALS I assigned to this love, who knows where I may have ended up, but one thing is for certain: it wouldn't have been where I am today."

"As with any difficult challenge, there will be sacrifices, disappointments, anxieties and frustrations, and most likely injuries. But these trials, if we survive, make us all stronger and better individuals. What we learn in the weight room will prepare us for the body blows that life throws at us"

"Training hard makes you physically tougher, but the fact that it makes you mentally tougher is what's most important. Dragging yourself through a demanding workout makes you embrace the idea of facing a challenging task in business. There's definitely a direct correlation between pushing yourself in the weight room and pushing yourself in life. When I work with a client for the first time, it's immediately evident how successful he is in business when I challenge him in the weight room"

"The most successful people work hardest in the gym. The longer and harder I train, the easier it is to make myself finish a work project instead of lounging on the couch"

First girl I ever loved broke my heart.

Now, I never miss a day. This is for me. To never feel the way she made me feel that night.

My fiance which i loved a lot, cheated on me. For 6 months, everyday, my heart used to physicallly hurt(emotional pain too). I coudnt live like that and a i had to do something. So i went to the gym and everytime i pushed myself to the limit i could feel that physical pain from my heart leave me, because i was feeling pain in my muscles. The more pain i would put my muscles through, the better i would feel after. I trained for 2.5 years and i got in the best shape of my life. I even got offers in modeling. But i refused because i wanted to become a software developer. Going to the gym pulled me from the worst place in my life and got me to the best place of my life. But that happened because i was running from something, i wasnt running towards something. I didnt want an atheletic body, i wanted to stop feeling pain every morning when i would think of my ex.

The confidence, discipline, willpower, dedication, commitment, social skills, etc that you develop by going to gym, for me personally turned out to be more beneficial than getting muscles. Sure I love to see myself getting stronger and muscular but that's not why I workout anymore. I show up everyday (including Leg day) for all those non physical benefits.

Lifting weights and putting on muscle has changed my life. It's all about being that masculine warrior.

Intermitting fasting. Cold water shower every morning. At least 30 minutes a day book reading. A daily meditation session. A regular and committed gym routine. Until you die. Do or do not. This is my life. Let it be yours.

I used to be 300 pounds back in 2018. All the problems i had been facing felt worse because I was fat. Now I have a pretty good physique and I always say, the problems I have now are actually worse than years ago however due to my transformation, I am able to handle them. What fitness has taught me is that if it is something I can control, I must control it from start to finish. The consistency of it will always work itself out in the long run. You must trust the process while working through the process.

Started back in January 2021, benching 95 lbs and being 270 pounds. 2 years later, I bench 295 at 275 lbs.

When i grow up i was always weak. And i thougth that i was a weak person. Then i decide that i want to feel how it was to be strong (or at least stronger) so i start go to the gym. When my body started to change thanks to that work i realised that i could change othet things in my life. I was not limited to the person i first belived i was.

I was a fat kid hated it didn't have weight so i resorted to calisthenics got really skinny i hated it as well so i was scraping any left overs around the house to create a home gym from them i used to be 13 then 6 years later and when i look back at my journey i can tell you without an ounce of hesitation that it was one of the best decisions that i took in my life that catapulted not just my self esteem but my health to the point that i look at major health problems that a lot of people around me suffer from on a daily basis as non-issue for me.

Wife passed away at 30. Nothing except the weights quiets my mind enough to go to the place in my soul, peacefully, where she still sits with me. Football taught me mental toughness, rugby taught me camaraderie, lacrosse taught relentlessness. The iron, in its solid-cast of lifeless weight, ironically soothes the heaviness of grief and breathes new meaning to the softer side of life’s challenges. There are no more opponents to play or games to win, just knowledge and lessons to give to the youngsters after me. She would want that.

I've had the opposite problem most men in The States have. While the majority of the population is overweight, obese and diabetic, especially in my own family, I've always been underweight at pretty much all ages. My family from all sides would poke fun and bully me about how scrawny I was. It wasn't until I was 16 when I was arguable in the best shape of my life, but still underweight, thanks to martial arts classes did I realize how fucked up it was that I was bullied for not being a statistic. I had been 130-135lbs for most of my life but two years after hitting the gym on and off I had put on an additional 35lbs of what I assume is muscle. I still appear somewhat skinny but recently I had decided the average weight statistics of 28-year-old American men is not a credible benchmark to measure myself against.
