Показать описание
In today's RV Living travel vlog, this RV Newbie First Week of Van Life on the Road including my First Harvest Hosts camping & Boondocking experiences.
Welcome back to another addition of full time RV living in my Winnebago Travato 59KL National park addition camper van. In this video drive from Missouri to Salida Colorado, staying in a Harvest Hosts location, moochdocking in a couple Remote Year friend's driveways, and finally I do some BLM camping and boondocking. BLM stands for Bureau of Land Management for the purposes of the van life video!
Life on the road in my Winnebago Travato has been nothing short of amazing. It's been the perfect full time RV campervan thus far. I hit the road as an RV newbie recently and I wanted to share with you my first week of van life on the road.
The ride from Missouri to Salina, passing through Loveland CO and Breckenridge CO is an over 17 hour drive. I was going to need to pull my my camper van over somewhere and crash for the night on the way to Loveland, Colorado.
I recently signed up for a program called Harvest Hosts. The Harvest Hosts membership is around $60 with the discount code below. With the membership you have access to over 1000 Harvest Hosts camping spots at wineries, breweries, museums, farms and golf courses. I opted for a Harvest Hosts camping location at a farm in Manhattan, Kansas. It was an awesome RV life experience and I can't recommend Harvest Hosts enough. Such a great value for full time RVers or the weekend RV getaway person.
The next morning I got up early for more RV travel and more van life on the road! It was an 8 hour drive from my Harvest Hosts camping spot to my friend Lindsey's house. One of my RV tips is to leave early when you have a long trip, it just seems to go by faster when you get up early and head out for life on the road. I am not trying to tell anyone how to RV - it just works for me!
Living in a van has its perks. One of them is I take my tiny home on wheels with me every where I go. I arrived at Lindsey's around 2pm, parked my Winnebago Travato campervan in her driveway for some moochdocking. I had a meal and some great conversation before turning in for the night for some RV camping in my camper van. I love living in an RV!
After moochdocking at Lindsey's, I got back on the road and headed for my next RV camping spot in Breckenridge Colorado. My Remote Year friends Abby and Jon rented a house in Breckenridge and offered to let me do some RV camping in their driveway. Again, full time RVing has some perks including RV camping at some pretty cool places for little money!
I had a great time with Abby and Jon. We did some hiking and explored Breckenridge again before I retired for the night to so some more driveway RV camping! Did I mention of love RV living and living in a van!!
Ok, it was finally time to head to my final location for some real boondocking RV living style. Amber, from Story Chasing, has invited me out to Colorado for some BLM camping on some Bureau of Land Management land. I took her up on the offer because she's been doing this for almost 4 years and her how to RV skills are through the roof. I knew she'd be able to explain BLM camping to me!
We arrived at the BLM camping spot. I set mu my on little van life RV living spot and hung out there for almost a week in my Winnebago Travato 59KL National Park Edition. Was so awesome and exactly what I was looking for from my RV living in a van life!!!
Thanks for tuning in! See you next week for more RV camping and van life adventures, Winnebago Travato camper van style!
