I was just thinking the same thing as the above poster, even as a staunch atheist who just got done having a 30 minute conversation with my wife about the irrationality of religious claims, I still found that absolutely beautiful. It was not his love of any god or gods. It was his love of his friend, despite their differences, that I find so beautiful. If we could just focus on what unites us rather than what divides us, what a beautiful place earth would be. Even a bloodthirsty Viking can do it.
