Jesus is baptized, and the Father acclaims Him as His Beloved Son.

Matthew 3:13–17

13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

I will never regret my decision on being baptized. I actually got baptized when I was pretty young. I remember sitting in church and then I told my parents that I wanted to be baptized. Christ's example is so perfect! He had to be baptized first before beginning His ministry, thus showing us that we too need to be baptized by those who have "authority from the Almighty God" to start on His path and follow His example.
I too was touched by his grabbing John's arm at hearing His Father's voice at 2:24. He must have missed His Father and it must have brought Him comfort to hear His voice again.
