Of all the Avengers it's only Dr Strange who has the gravitas to actually engage Thanos in a frank conversation. There is mutual respect there

The intensity When Thanos Tells Strange “I’m A Survivor” And Strange Replies With “Who Wants To Murder Trillions” the music just hits hard

Imagine when the scenery changed, everyone just falls out of where they were hiding

In the comics, Thanos killed half the universe to please Mistress Death because he was in love with her. They were originally supposed to have her in this movie, but was removed because they felt there were too many characters. Just imagine what Thanos and Strange’s conversation would’ve been like if the motivation were still for Mistress Death. The MCU did establish several times that she does exist in this universe. So we may see her eventually.

I liked how Thanos refers to himself as a survivor instead of a prophet. He didn’t care about the fame or recognition of being right, he just felt his mission was necessary

I love the idea that Titan faced some overpopulation and the Titanese government were sat around thinking up solutions and Thanos is just there like "how about we just, like do a genocide, just totally random. Purge style." And everyone is like "wtf? No! Get the hell out of here!" And Thanos is like "okay" and then no one thinks of ANY other plan at all until the planet is destroyed.

I like the parallels between Thanos and Tony in this film. That's some great writting.

If he never said "our" that smash might have been a surprise.

Thanos has the most reasonable goal, nobody in the avengers offers a solution to fix it. Thanos may be a bad guy, but he was right about one thing-only he has the balls to act, in the end the winner is the one who's willing to sacrifice everything. I Love Infinity war more than Endgame, iw was about Thanos, not the avengers and he was the real winner, that how i see the things.

I gotta hand it to Quill for coming up with the plan to subdue him. Managing to use all of the powers of those present to hold him down while Mantis stuns his mind and the two strongest try to pull off the gauntlet was pretty smart. Sure, they could've gone for the stones, but remember that Quill had previously only seen (and felt) what happened when someone touched the Power stone and didn't want to risk something bad happening. Stark really only went for the stones in Endgame as a last-ditch effort through the nanotech because it was the lifeless technology touching the stones, not his actual hand, and only once the stones became active in his version of the gauntlet did they start to take a toll. If Quill had just held on for like 3 more seconds before bashing Thanos' head he could've genuinely prevented Thanos from winning with the Avengers and Guardians' help, full stop, and had bragging rights basically forever.
