"At no point were employees told they would be fired if they left the facility" is such an insulting comment. Everyone knows you risk getting fired when you leave work without permission.

The way the water effortlessly folded a shipping container around a telephone pole is insane!

THE STORMS OF LIFE & MORE = 2024!!
Helene hit like an atom bomb
Consuming the helpless in its path.
The waters of the deep surged forth
Flooding everything with their wrath.

The storms of life come to everyone
There are none who are immune.
Some approach in our later years
While others come too soon.

Lifestyles will forever change
For all who survive Helene’s horror.
When it has ended, as it began
With tears, death and more.

Time wipes tears from all faces
Whose hearts are tuned to sorrow.
Those that cry a thousand tears
Shall be blessed by tomorrow.

"I asked the boss if I could leave to save my life, and they told me I couldn't unless I left accompanied by another boss, and I agreed because otherwise they'd fire my dead cold body." What?! Form a union.

Worst Government response since Katrina, it took 6 days for FEMA to show up, NC couldn’t get approval for 6 days to leverage the Army bases nearby who begged everyday to be allowed to deploy. This is unacceptable!

I've been there, and I've done that. In 2018, both _Hurricane Florence & Hurricane Michael_ hit me back-to-back here in North Carolina. I was left without power for a month, with my next door neighbor's tree on my house. I'm thankful for Blessed Insurance.

It's worse because the worst hit places almost never get hit by hurricanes let alone major hurricanes so they're very vulnerable when this once in 200 year event happens.

Contact your representatives in congress to send help. It’s concerning that Mike Johnson is not doing his job.

There was a hurricane hit Florida in the 1850's that made Helene, Katrina, Andrew, etc. look like spring showers. The difference is not too many people were living there then.
