Ukraine War: 'Russian troop withdrawal is inconclusive'

Defence analyst Dr Alex Walmsley describes her latest observations on Russian troop withdrawal in Ukraine and explains the key Russian objectives in the Donbas region.

The reason hes pulling them back is air strikes or to resupply then go back in with force

After the military exercises between Belarus and Russia, Russia pulled back some troops, giving people hope a invasion was coming and then invaded the Ukraine.

Don't trust anything that the Russian side claims to be doing. The Ukrainian resistance forces need to build up their stock of arms (fix broken Russian Army vehicles etc) around the Kyiv area. Provisions and water stores needs to be re-filled in case the city becomes encircled later on in this conflict. Defensive positions should also be improved before the invaders return with "fresh troops and machinery" ... ;-)

~ Ukraine has already lost Crimea and will lose the Donbass region. Neutrality isn’t really an issue since it is already the status quo.

They will regroup in the East, then push through the coast to Odessa and to the Trans-Dniester area disputed area of Moldova with a majority of ethnic Russians. This gives them control of the Black Sea and by the Dniester River, a route West for the coming redirected "brotherhood network" of Gas Pipes and secure the rights to shale gas in Eastern Ukraine and all about the deposits found in 2012 in the sea near the Crimea and Ukraine coast. This is all about Petrochemicals and Resources.

Defence analyst? she has never seen action in the field, infact she probably spent 2 years in lockdown working from home in her pyjamas, maybe stop assuming things because your hungry for content, they will drag anyone off the street these days and call them a military analyst

In the US we would often use the phrase "that's cap" meaning that's a lie. Now that phrase is slowing changing to "that's Russian".

Everything Russia say they do doesn’t ever match up with what they are actually doing …they say “we aren’t doing anything” even though we literally have them on film doing what they say they aren’t lol
