Outgunned Ukrainian troops withdraw from eastern town of Avdiivka

Oleksandr Syrskyi, Ukraine's military chief, says he's withdrawing troops from Avdiivka in eastern Ukraine, where they've battled a Russian assault for four months. In a short statement posted to Facebook on Saturday, Syrskyi said he had made the decision to 'preserve the lives and health of servicemen.'

The Ukrainians are not withdrawing, they are fleeing the battlefield in small groups. The escape route is very narrow (less than 800meters wide) and is under direct visual surveillance by the Russians. Drones regularly fly over this area. It is under constant bombardment and under machine gun fire. This road leading out of Avdivka is littered with bodies of Ukrainians, who were gunned while trying to escape. Out of every ten Ukrainian soldiers, only one or two manage to escape. The rest are mowed down. This is not withdrawal, it is annihilation.

The Ukrainians ran out of bullets and shells and the USA Defense Dept. has acknowledged that they have no shells to give to Ukraine and to produce them, it will take more than 6 months. On the other hand Russia produces at least four tanks a day and has unlimited stocks of bullets and shells.

The big question now is, which is the next city in Ukraine that will face the Russians with no shells and no bullets. Russia versus USA, UK, NATO, France, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Greece, Moldova, Estonia and 40 other countries with very little bullets and shells.
