Being Catholic Made Me Question Liberal Society & Wokeness

Can you be liberal and still be Catholic? As Catholics, our faith beliefs are woven into the tapestry of our entire lives. The way we see politics, culture, relationships, and ourselves is rooted in our connection to God and His commands for our lives.

The more I became devout in faith, the more my view of the world started to shift and solidify in a way that has kept one question front of mind...

Can Catholics in today's rapidly shifting modern world be liberal? Or do you eventually become more conservative as you embrace the fullness of Catholicism and its dogma?

Let me share what happened to me...

Here is my sad story. I was in a irregular marriage for 12 years. My Mom prayed for years that I would get my marriage blessed. My husband went through a annualment from his previous marriage and we got our marriage blessed. Two days later my Mom passed. The great blessing for me was finally taking the holy eucharist at her funeral. I will never leave the Church again. My Mom prayed so hard for me and now I pray for her.

When the Rosary was branded an extremist symbol earlier this year, I immediately ordered the black monk rosary from rugged rosaries. I wanted to make my extremism extreme 😸As time goes by, I only identify as Catholic. The core of liberalism tends to be the alter of self. The core of conservatism is that certain behaviours are good without a true acknowledgement of Christ in his fullness. Everyone in heaven is Catholic. It's what we need try to be ... to the best of our abilities here on Earth

I used to be a lukewarm Catholic, liberal, and living my life worse than pagans. Now I’m a devout, conservative, traditional Catholic. But also attend Novus order not by choice but because of availability. God bless you.

Your reading of the Nicene creed is giving me goosebumps, this people(Protestant) are missing a whole lot of what it takes to be a Christian.😭 From Ghana 🇬🇭.

Most people don't know that black people are very conservative about their views on many things. I hope we'll start to see many more black catholic channels on social media with a lot of success.

I reverted in 2020 during the height of riots and covid. I was pretty liberal, but by the grace of God I was red pilled literally overnight. 🙏🏼

The beginning of this video has to be the most inspiring 3 minutes I’ve seen in a long time! I literally felt like grabbing my sword 📿 and going to war.

I’m a revert after wondering in Protestantism for 26 years. When I was Protestant I wanted to witness to Catholics, and I realized I didn’t really know the official Catholic beliefs regarding salvation/justification, etc.

So I started reading the Catechism online. I was seeing that they did know who Jesus is and why he came to us. That was opposite of what I wad told by the Protestant churches I had been part of.

So I decided to look into Catholic apologetics to see what their strongest arguments were for being Catholic. This was an eye opener! I studied off and on for 5 years before coming back to the Church. I should have come back sooner. Best thing I ever did.

If you say, "I'm Catholic BUT..." then you aren't. The more we learn about the truth of our faith, the more it all makes perfect sense and has meaning. It's OUR responsibility to form ourselves to the will of God. We don't "check our faith at the door". It should encompass every aspect of our lives. It isn't always easy but what else is more important than our eternal souls ? Nothing. God is good !!! 💜✝️💜

I'm strongly pro life. Always will be. How do you not get pregnant unexpectedly, before marriage? Don't have sex until you are married.

I'm so glad I've come across this channel, a few days ago. God bless you! 🤗 I am a 39 year old, Roman Catholic woman, born in Europe, lived in a few Refugee camps in EU countries throughout my childhood, due to the civil war that broke out in my country in the early 1990s. I immigrated to the US, as a teenager with my family, lived in a suburb of Atlanta, GA for a few years before moving to a different State in the midwest where the EU community was bigger and my family, who don't speak English, would be able to attend the Holy Mass in our native language. (I am fluent in 6 languages, so I don't have a problem attending an English speaking Mass, but it was a different story for the rest of my family.) Anyway, as someone who knows people from at least 5 different continents, including celebrities (as you mentioned) and has built long lasting friendships with people of different cultural backgrounds and faiths, I, as a Caucasian, naturalized US citizen who has quite a few, longtime African American friends and acquaintances, was pleasantly surprised to-when I first found your channel-"meet" a born African American young lady of my, Roman Catholic, faith. Truth be told, the more I listened to you and your stories, I realized how much, as 2 Catholic women, we had much in common with each other. I always tend to tell others that people would be surprised to realize how much more we, as humans, have in common than how different we are from one another. Having watched your videos the past few days, and as I am listening to your story, of how hard it is to live as a Catholic woman in a big city, and how hard it is to, sometimes, stay true to yourself, your Catholic beliefs, in this world that "judges" us on so many things that our Lord would never judge us on. What "hit close to home" was when you mentioned in this video-and I apologize for not quoting you precisely- how, when people find out we're CATHOLIC women, some tend to distance themselves from us. (I have experienced this from people from all corners of the world.) At least, our Lord doesn't judge us on the things the World does. Thankfully, He cares about the things that no money or wealth can buy. (I could go on and on, but this is already a long comment. My sincere apology.)

Hope you have a blessed rest of the day, and please, keep on the good work with your, amazing, videos. 💕Wishing you, your loved ones and your subscribers, a very merry Christmas! 🎄✨ Looking forward to more of your videos.❤

Can’t wait to watch this as this is what happened to me. But …. Did I change or did culture change? I think culture became whacked and God preserved me and let me see it. I am so grateful.

It was a total surprise to me, that your meaningful and prayeful recitation of the Nicene Creed at the start of the video would be so moving! Our Catholic faith is so ancient, so true and so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your conviction. God bless you mightily! 😇

You're a real gift 'Black Catholic Chick' - I agree wholeheartedly about the beautiful role that we women powerful! It's wonderful to find your channel, and listening to your testimony, I don't think it's that far from how many women feel, but aren't expressing 'out there', the world expects so much from us, and conformity feels like wearing a tight suit, a fakeness - good on you, I think you've found an important ministry! Love from Ireland, liked and subscribed xx

Thanks for this video. It's excellent, like your others. Here's where I hope you eventually go with your channel: talk about transcendent Beauty and the proper human response. You are someone who clearly cares about the beautiful quality found in appearances. You've pushed your body to extremes as a real kind of athletic endeavour with your body building. You take the time to adorn your hair with flowers and even chose a style of dress coordinated with your latest hairstyle. The lighting in your videos and editing is nothing short of artistic. You've been operating at levels, aesthetically speaking, that most of us just wouldn't put any effort into. Give us insights into where all that comes from and goes to in relation to your faith. It's your feminine genius! Christ's peace.

God bless you Roxy🙏❤️ I’m not a “traditional” Catholic as I understand it. I’ve never even been to a Latin Mass. But I believe in the orthodox teachings of the Church, I.e. male priests, marriage only between 1 man & 1 woman, sacrifice of the Mass, etc. The Church is not only the spotless Bride of Christ; it is also a hospital for the sick & broken, a refuge of acceptance for all.

Politically I consider myself to be center right, but I’m neither Republican nor Democrat. I don’t give my allegiance to a political party. I even vote Libertarian sometimes. I feel we need to take care of the helpless in society, but totally conservative in my values. I quit listening to conservative news because it made me angry & never listen to MSM.

Your production value is through the roof, girlfriend! I really enjoy your content & have been recommending you every chance I get. God bless you. You are in my prayers 🙏❤️

Thank you TBCC!
People all over the world are hungry for Christianity, for Catholic Christianity, even though they may not know it. We need articulate people, like TBCC, to take the revolutionary message of Catholic Christianity to them.
All praise be to God.

Peace be with! Love your channel! I agree with you 100%! I was very liberal when I came back to the Church! Little by little, I began to discern by the grace of God, what is right and wrong. And more that I understand it, the more I have come to love my faith! Praised be Jesus Christ forever! God bless!❤
